Galitcha

Galitcha is a visionary ensemble that performs original compositions based on Indian folk music, combined with influences from jazz, world and North American folk. A Galitcha show can be described as love songs and rhythms that will make the crowd dance, a contagious "joie de vivre". The word "galitcha" means "tapestry" and Galitcha is most certainly that. They will bring the audience on a superb musical journey full of emotions. Alternating between French and English, the performers explain the meaning of songs sung in the Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi languages.

Dance is a fun and easy way to get some exercise and build community! Learn the basic movements from Indian popular culture and get the whole group involved in a simple and fun dance choreography. Participants of all abilities are encouraged to take part. This workshop is guaranteed to make you smile. Participants will explore basic Bhangra, and Bollywood dances.
