Amanda was the Executive Director of The Ottawa School of Speech and Drama before founding her own school, The Ottawa Children’s Theatre. Amanda has a BFA in theatre, an MFA in Creative Writing, a background as a calligraphy instructor, and author of seven books for young people. Her professional life has been dedicated to youth arts education.

Norman has been a small business and tax management accountant who has been active in the Ottawa region for 47 years. He is pleased to bring his expertise to the MASC team.

Gerald Dragon profile.png  Gerald Dragon  Director
Gerald is a Community Development Worker at the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre. His work supports children, youth, families and neighbourhoods to provide services and programs. He is also the producer and host of a long running radio show on CHUO 89.1 FM.

Jessica is an Ottawa-based director, producer, and writer with a passion for live performance. She is perhaps best known for her award-winning production of The Ghomeshi Effect, a documentary dance-theatre performance addressing sexual violence and the legal system. She is currently on parental leave and writing her first novel.

Akuol is a natural leader who since 2010 has participated in many Awesome Arts youth programs. Akuol was chosen to be an Awesome Arts Youth Intern to work with a professional video artist on a number of Awesome Arts projects. Currently, Akuol works at the Treasury Board Secretariat. Akuol’s belief in the power of the arts to make change in a community makes her a perfect addition to the MASC Board!

Stefan is a news anchor with CTV Ottawa and works diligently to give back to the community. His focus is on minority issues, youth, and the arts. His is also a vocalist and actor, who has performed for diverse crowds in Canada, the United States and Jamaica.

Guy Poirier  Director
Guy joined the board in July 2019 and brings his strong Human Resources and Operations background to MASC. Guy has worked extensively within the Aboriginal Community, promoting human resources best practices to First Nations and Inuit communities and to provincial and territorial organizations. His experience brings a unique perspective that is very valuable to the MASC team.

Jennifer Boudewyn  Director
Jennifer is a visual artist and arts instructional coach/teacher in public education who is passionate about empowering children, teens and grown-ups to celebrate their unique strengths through creativity and art education. She believes that exploring one's own creativity through art is a portal to discover more about ourselves and learn about each other. She is very excited to be able to join the MASC board and bring her experiences from her teaching background.

  Colin Henein Director
Colin is a Manager and Senior Policy Advisor at Transport Canada. Colin previously chaired the board of 2 Women Productions Storytelling. He is an amateur photographer and volunteers at the campus-community radio station CKCU-FM, where he is the webmaster and hosts Music from the Glen, a program of traditional music from the British Isles and beyond.
