About the Artist

cj fleury is a multi-media artist and cultural researcher, deeply interested in the role of art in contemporary society.  Recognized for groundbreaking projects that bring the public into public art, cj is now designing an Artist-in-Residence program for the Bruyère Organization, a multi-site academic hospital.  Her courses help students build imaginative and observational skills, as well as critical thinking, creativity in 2D, 3D, “placemaking” or social connection; all while organizing for beauty, purpose and social wellness.

I’m amazed by [participants'] engagement and appreciation, and how the art has played a role in community-building.
