Skeleton Key Theatre

About the Artist
Skeleton Key Theatre produces original Canadian work that creates an immersive theatrical experience for its audiences. Our plays often take place outside of a traditional theatre space, which means we are at home creating and performing in any space – including a virtual one! In addition to our exciting new online workshops, you can also catch new releases from Skeleton Key this season including an audio adaptation of our hit family show Swan River (coming soon to Apply Podcasts), as well as an album featuring the music from our upcoming show Deluge, which premieres in February 2021. All of our work is created through collaborative creation (also known as devising). Founded in 2010, Skeleton Key is an independent company based in Ottawa and headed by Artistic Director Kate Smith. The company’s primary focus is on supporting female artists and their voices.
Instead of choosing to view not being in the same physical space as “limited,” we are choosing to view it as “limitless” and finding creative ways to continue our creative collaboration process.
