About this program
Jamaal will challenge students to channel their inner poet by engaging them in activities that require individual and collaborative efforts. He will demonstrate how the world is a vast poem and by understanding simple poetic devices, students can find their own voice and appreciate the value of
literary and oral expression.

Explores thematic use of language as a portal to public speaking; supports literacy by exploring language devices such as pattern, rhyme, figurative speech and syllabic metre; explores traditional and contemporary functions of melodic language.
