About this program
With the guidance and support of artist and facilitator Zoey Roy, participants will be dazzled by an enriched songwriting experience. Over the last ten years working with people in the arts, Zoey has learned tips and tricks to help every group come up with lyrics that they like. During this unique and creative process, participants learn a step-by-step process on how to write a song through the experience of crafting one together.
No Collective Songwriting workshop is the same. With a one-hour session, participants will create 4-8 bar lyrics. Longer sessions will enable participants can create a verse, a chorus, and instructions on how to continue the creation of the second verse on their own time.
In this workshop, participants will write a song together using the following process : Collectively decide on a topic; Brainstorm; Choose a beat; Write a song.
This workshop includes the non-exclusive use of an original instrumental and can be used by the class in the future.
