About this program
This performance focuses on presenting Indigenous storytelling dances and Storytelling, and can cater to several classes together in the gym, and is suited for all ages. Storytelling includes a series of traditional Indigenous storytelling legends and stories shared orally, with a hoop dance finale. The hoop dance is a storytelling dance presented at Powwows. Each workshop opens with introductions, an ice breaker group warm up, a storytelling performance, and ends with a hoop dance presentation and question and answer period. Discussion topics can also be adapted to Orange Shirt day.
