About this program
Participants will learn how to make a leather medicine bag. Aurora will explain the bag usage, the plants included in their interiors, and the medicines they represent. While participants are working on weaving their medicine bags, samples of various indigenous plants and medicines will be passed around so students can see, smell, and touch what they are learning about. Each participant will leave this workshop with their own custom medicine bag as well as a deeper understanding of Indigenous plants and medicines.
