About this program
Participants will design their own unique geometric “tiles” and collaborate with each to discover an infinite number of dazzling design combinations and 3D shapes. As a result of the workshop, participants will produce a “living” paper mosaic mural that can continue taking new shapes every day!
Experience Kseniya’s homeland through the myths and legends of the Silk Road and learn traditional applied art techniques to use in your everyday life!

History and culture of Central Asia; explore nomadic cultures’ artistic traditions and folklore symbolism; learn about symmetry, geometry and explore the properties of shapes, repeated patterns and tessellations; express and communicate ideas through graphic illustration; exercise problem solving and design thinking; cross-curricular links to STEM.
