Kseniya Tsoy New

Kseniya is a new Canadian community-engaged artist, originally from Uzbekistan. In her murals and workshops, she is passionate about introducing this undiscovered part of the world through the iconic patterns and traditional applied art techniques with a contemporary twist. 
Located at the crossroads of civilizations, Uzbekistan’s culture is a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of different world traditions. Travel through time and space to the heart of the Silk Road to learn about the meaning of this unique imagery and trace its origins to different parts of the world. New Program Residency English Seniors

Participants will collaborate on unique glass artworks and animate their building from inside and out! Produced with water-based paint markers, these removable murals are great for seasonal decorations or for raising awareness about specific themes like Earth Day, Women’s History Month, Asian Heritage Month, and more!

New Program Residency Workshop English Seniors

Participants will design their own unique geometric “tiles” and collaborate with each to discover an infinite number of dazzling design combinations and 3D shapes. As a result of the workshop, participants will produce a “living” paper mosaic mural that can continue taking new shapes every day! Experience Kseniya’s homeland through the myths and legends of the Silk Road and learn traditional applied art techniques to use in your everyday life!

New Program Residency Workshop English

Learn principles of design, illustration and visual storytelling through the creation of mixed-media collages. Work with paper, crayons and unexpected everyday objects to "construct" yourself from a unique visual perspective. Through a playful process together we will unleash and expand our creativity and prove that a new way of seeing is what really makes good art! Depending on participants age these works can vary greatly in their intricacy.

New Program Residency English Seniors

Participants will collaborate on immersive murals that will animate and enliven a space. Imagine artworks that span floors, ceilings, staircases and windows! Individually tailored to the values and the character of the space, such murals can be painted straight on the wall, panels, or created with removable vinyl stickers.
