About the Artist

“Pianist Judith Ginsburg, possibly the best of Ottawa’s regular accompanists, had a fine rapport with the soloist and was deft and musical, as always.” (Ottawa Citizen). Judith was the longtime Principal Repetiteur of Opera Lyra Ottawa and Music Director of its Young Artists Program and Opera for Young Audiences program. Local soprano Ania Hejnar has been performing for international platforms since graduating with her Masters in Vocal Performance, including Carnegie Hall, Maison Symphonique, the National Arts Centre, and Varnus Hall. Ania is a versatile performer as a classical singer, crossover musician, actor, voiceover artist and can be heard singing national anthems for many sports teams in Ottawa. Mezzo-soprano Sonya Sweeney is a vocal artist and pianist based in Ottawa. Sonya has been praised for her sensitivity and technique as both a vocalist and pianist. Sonya performs not only in Ottawa, but also in many parts of the Fraser Valley and Victoria, BC.
