Indigenous Experiences

About the Artist

Indigenous Experiences’ programs offer a rare opportunity to experience the rich culture, teachings, and history of Canada’s Indigenous People from a First Nation perspective. Our talented team of Indigenous artists represent the Indigenous community of Ottawa today – a diversity of native nations from across Canada (or Turtle Island as we know it). We pride ourselves on delivering a truly authentic experience that illustrates both the diversity of the Indigenous cultures originating in Canada, and how they have progressed through the ages.

Students can have the opportunity to participate in traditional activities and games that provide insight into historical and contemporary Indigenous life.

Indigenous Experiences are fully booked for in-person programming this season. Virtual options are still available. Contact MASC for details on fall programming.

Our Cultural Ambassadors take pride in sharing their gifts and culture through dynamic, interactive, and authentic artistic and cultural programs in an educational setting.

Very enjoyable and informative session. My kindergarten class enjoyed drawing pictures of the Turtle Island and Trickster stories as they were listening to the ladies present. It was fun for them to listen and try to draw what they pictured in their imaginations as the stories unfolded.
