Mehdi Cayenne

About the Artist

Singer-songwriter, poet, writer, actor, radio columnist: Mehdi Cayenne is a free spirit from the Francophonie, a quick-witted chameleon who writes over, under, and outside the box. He has been offering writing workshops with MASC for 10 years now. Exploring the full palette of sonic textures, from the soft to the gritty, Cayenne has developed his eclectic, minimalist and evocative approach over his last four albums “Luminata” in 2011, “Na Na Boo Boo” in 2013, “Aube” in 2015 and “Radio Batata” in 2019. Charismatic, energetic, and edgy, he has won several awards, and has honed his performance on stages across Canada, as well as in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Armenia and Russia.

It is a great privilege to interact with young people, for their honesty, their openness, their bravery.
