About the Artist
Mona Kiame is an artist of Lebanese dance with over 35 years of experience in creation and stage productions. Her passion for dance is intertwined with her connection to her Lebanese heritage. She engages young children and adults in the discovery of Lebanese culture through music, movement and rhythms, bridging understanding about non-western dance forms and the role they play in expanding our appreciation for art practices rooted in century-old traditions. As a dancer, she has travelled across Canada sharing her love for dabké in various workshops and master classes, and has participated in numerous national and international festivals with the Al-Arz Lebanese Art Group.
