About this program
Dance is a fun and easy way to get some exercise and build community! Learn the basic movements from Indian popular culture and get the whole group involved in a simple and fun dance choreography. Participants of all abilities are encouraged to take part. Participants will explore the basics of Bhangra (folk dance), Dhandia (stick dance) and the ever popular Bollywood dances. This workshop is guaranteed to make you smile.

Identifying similarities and differences between local community and communities around the world; identifying tempo; response to music from a variety of cultures; effects of different musical instruments; sing with expression and proper technique; physical activity and teamwork though group participation.

Venues over 25km from Ottawa centre will be charged a travel fee for artist's transportation costs.
