Rock the Arts Puppets
About the Artist
Sarah Argue is the creator of Rock the Arts Puppets, which tours across Canada performing live stage puppet shows. Sarah has been teaching the art of puppetry and puppet building to adults and children for the past 16 years.
Sarah’s university degree in Theatre Performing Arts, along with training from puppeteers connected to Fraggle Rock and Under the Umbrella Tree, has allowed her to develop strong technical skills as a puppeteer. In 2017, she was honoured by Brock University with the Faculty of Humanities Distinguished Graduate Award for her work in puppetry and theatre. She was the first woman with a theatre degree to receive this award from the university.
Before launching her own company, Sarah toured in the United States for three years performing children’s science shows. Her extensive background in improv, voice work, body movement, theatre in education, and scriptwriting allows her to bring a wide range of skills to students and adults in an engaging and adaptable way.
