Stacey Can-Tamakloe
About the Artist
Stacey Can-Tamakloe is a professional dancer and international student from Ghana, holding a Master’s in Music and Culture from Carleton University (2023) and Performing Arts Degree from the University of Ghana (2019). Her research focused on gender roles in Ghanaian traditional music, and loves exploring the integration of drum and dance. Stacey is currently coaching Carleton University’s West African Rhythm Ensemble. Stacey also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant for the “Reimagining the Global Music Ensemble” project in Canada (2022).
