Sultans of String

About the Artist

Three times JUNO Award nominees and Billboard charting artists Sultans of String take you on a musical journey around the world! Violinist and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient Chris McKhool met Kevin Laliberté just as the guitarist was coming off the road from touring the globe with Jesse Cook and cross Canada with The Chieftains. When Chris first heard Kevin’s rumba rhythm their musical mind-meld created Sultans of String’s sound – the intimate and playful relationship between the violin and the flamenco guitar.

People love this artist

Just wanted to provide some feedback regarding the Sultans of String / Fiddlefire performance today from Chris, Drew, and Kevin... IT WAS AMAZING!! Teachers and students really enjoyed the variety of music styles and instruments that the musicians presented - it was a fabulous mix of music, a bit of history, many cultures and countries presented, and interaction with clapping along. Questions were asked and answered at the end of our time together, and the kids really enjoyed it! Thanks again for this fabulous opportunity!
