Vox Théâtre
About the Artist
Vox Théâtre has now been a huge playground for young audiences for over 40 years. Stories are told in a unique theatrical form with voices singing words and sounds to express ideas and emotions. Along with the performer’s acting, the music, sets, and puppets born from objects create stories and characters that strike the imagination. Since its inception, Vox Théâtre has presented 50 creations for people of all ages (as young as 18 months) everywhere in the country and internationally.
The company presents, with Théâtre de la Vieille 17, a yearly series for young audiences, la Série Enfance Jeunesse at Ottawa’s La Nouvelle Scène Gilles Desjardins. In this pandemic era, Vox Théâtre has added new initiatives in storytelling, creative meetings and workshops to reach out to children and families, if not live, then in a virtual setting.
Theatre is a living art based on sharing; it takes shape and spirit with each performance, with each encounter.
