Street Art/Math Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, students create original street art-inspired stickers while exploring real-world math concepts. Led by MASC artist and educator Tyler Proulx, students learn how street artists use colour, shape, symbols, and personal style to create bold visual messages. 

After designing their own stickers, students apply geometry skills by calculating the perimeter and area of their artwork. This gives them a practical and creative way to connect math with visual arts, design, and everyday problem-solving. 

With Tyler’s experience as both a professional mural artist and high school teacher, this workshop encourages students to see art as something for everyone while exploring responsible public art, creative expression, and math in a fun, accessible way.
