About this program
A colourful mural that celebrates the school community and the creativity of the students within it. Students explore painting techniques, perspective, composition, and colour on panelized or direct-painted murals. Claudia’s murals can vary in size and shape. The length of the residency would depend on the complexity of the mural. A regular 8 x 12 feet mural can be created in a five day’s residency

Five full-day residency (two hour sessions per day): $3,540* + HST + Material and production fees (to be determined) + HST**
Each additional day: $590 + HST
For mural projects with more than 120 participants, additional days must be added.
*This residency fee is for a mural of approx. 12x8 ft. A conversation with the artist would be required for bigger or special murals (the surface must be prepared before the artist arrives).
Day 1: Artist setup and outline. (A small group of students can work with the artist in this phase, depending on the project)
Day 2, 3, and 4: paint with students in small groups (maximum 40 students per day)
Day 5: final touches (a small selection of students might help the artist finish the mural)
**As every project is different, a meeting with the artist is required to determine the theme, dimension of the mural, materials, the number of participants, budget and the number of days required to complete the project.
Published fees are for indoor school murals; fees for school outdoor murals or other settings are subject to change.
Venues over 25km from Ottawa centre will be charged a travel fee for artist's transportation costs.
